- The day before the procedure, limit your diet to liquids ONLY. (Eg, Juice, Broth, Jello, Water.)
DO NOT EAT ANY SOLID FOOD THE DAY BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
- Take your Golytely medication starting at noon the day before the procedure. Instructions for taking medication are:
- Golytely should be mixed same day as it is taken.
- Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before drinking.
- Take one 8oz glass every 20 minutes until finished.
- Do not eat or drink ANYTHING, even water, after midnight on the night before your procedure and morning of your procedure.
- Report to your scheduled Colonoscopy appointment on time. If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, please phone the office to let us know at 312.222.5610.
- Please call the office next day to schedule your follow-up appointment, which is approximately 1 week after your surgery.
- During your follow-up appointment, the doctor will go over your surgery with you and discuss any results.
